tunisian couscous

ingredients

200 g instant-couscous,

(300 ml water, 3-5 g butter, 3-5 g soup cube),

 

1 tsp olive oil,

300 g potatoes,

½ bell pepper,

140 g chicken (or another meat),

½ onion,

½ clove of garlic,

1 tomato (peeled),

160 g carrots,

200 ml water,

½ tsp paprika,

½ tsp cumin,

2 pinches of nutmeg,

½ tsp red curry paste (coriander),

2 pinches of cinnamon,

2 pinches of sugar,

salt/pepper,

1-1½ tsp flour

 

how you make it:


stove plate on ↑6/6, warm olive oil (→olive oil), stove plate on ↓2/6, sauté onions (→onion) and after that garlic (→garlic) in a saucepan

 

deglaze it with water and stir

 

spice it with salt/pepper and all the other spices, stir and leave it for a few minutes with lid on

 

stove plate on ↑4/6, add the water and bring it to a boil with lid on and add the vegetables (cut in big cubes)

 

stove plate on ↓2/6

 

leave it for 10-15 minutes with lid on

 

then add the fowl and stove plate on ↓1/6

 

leave it for 10 minutes with lid on

 

then test, if salt/pepper is alright and add it, if necessary

 

prepare the instant-couscous (→couscous)

 

↓0/0 after 1-2 minutes and leave it with lid on for a couple of minutes
